Ergh I wish I could say something helpful, but I have literally no experience with these kinds of things. :( But still - I don’t think you sound like a bad friend at all! (As for a bromance between women… maybe it’s a sismance? :D)

Sismance it is. I mean, picture JD and Turk as girls? She drags me into the most childish antics and we just do everything together when given the chance. I can live with that til the end of days, I think. (And if it wasn’t for the fact that I think she deserves better than her boyfriend, it wouldn’t be so bad either). And she deserves a friend who can put aside some of her personal angst to be there for her and not just mooching off of her attention once in a while. I wanna be someone who deserves her too, ya know.

Thanks though. I think I needed to vent more than I needed someone to tell me how to solve the issue. And maybe just a confirmation that I’m not just imagining signs that aren’t there because I’m hopelessly in love with her and hanging on to the tiny fact that she never did say she wasn’t interested…

I’m gonna play it by ear. Take it slow. Work myself back into her life on a regular basis and see where I take it from there. If I spot my chance I may put my foot in the door. The endless questioning and daydreaming about things resolving my way is only going to last a few days (I hope). Just gotta make it through!
