Uh, restriction is restriction whether said opinion is horrible or not.  

I may be ‘offended’ by perverse depictions of religious figures, but is that cause enough to ban it?  Nope.

What part of ‘freedom of speech’ do people not get?  It isn’t called ‘freedom-unless-if-i-don’t-like-it-speech”.

I think the whole freedom-of-speach thing is just never going to be a solid concept because freedom itself isn’t. Your freedom ends where other people’s freedom begins. So being racist is one thing. Expressing it publicly is arguably stepping onto some toes. Attacking people with racial slurs and whatnot is removing their freedom to not be attacked.

It’s not as much restriction as common sense. At least, that’s how I see it.

Whoever would call you a racist for having that opinion needs to go back to school or something, though.
